Instructions

Hello! Thank you for participating in this study!

This study is about assessing the quality of sewing instructions.

Experimental Setup:
Before the acutal experiment, you will answer some general sewing-related questions. Please answer them truthfully and to the best of your abilities without third-party help.
During the experiment, you will be presented with an image overview of a set of pattern pieces labeled A-Z and a paragraph giving a label to each pattern piece (e.g. A: Front Bodice).
You will then go through the sewing instructions step-by-step, while answering questions about the most recent step. (see picture below)
Once you have read the whole set of instructions, you will be asked to answer some general questions concerning not only one step but the entire set of instructions.

Important: When the pattern piece descriptions mention cutting multiples of a piece, the instructions will refer to them as Xl and Xr (l for left and r for right) if it's a mirrored pair and X1, X2, ... if there is no mirroring.

Note: If you have never worked with garment sewing patterns, this study might be difficult for you to complete. In any case, you are welcome to sketch along on a piece of paper if that helps you. Please also note that this study is best completed on a larger screen such as a computer or tablet. By participating in this study, you are agreeing to your answers being used for scientific purposes.

Please enter your workerId into the box below:

Any random combination of letters and numbers will do. Please don't use your name, so your answers can remain anonymous.
